Corresponding Secretary
![]() Duties The Corresponding Secretary shall conduct general correspondence of the PSO, send notice of regular PSO meetings and perform other duties described below. DIRECTORY: Directory will be created using a master student list provided by the office. A form must be sent to families either approving their information to be published or declining. Once the form is return with families’ approval, the information can be compiled and printed. One directory will be provided per family. An e-mail version will be sent as well through the room reps. GIFTS FOR NEW TEACHERS: The PSO would like to welcome new teachers with a small gift welcoming them to Highland Drive. Delivered the first week of school. BIRTHDAY GIFTS: Provided with a list of the entire staff and their birthday, the Corresponding Secretary will provide each staff member with a small gift either on their specific birthday or on a monthly basis. Each staff member is allotted $5.00. CHILD CARE FOR PSO MEETINGS: Send a notice out to the parents letting them know when the PSO meeting will be held and provide your name and contact number for them to contact you if a sitter is needed during the PSO meeting. Send the notice at least a week in advance of the meeting. The PSO pays the sitter $15.00 and each parent pays $1.00 per child. THANK YOU NOTES: Collect notes written to the PSO and pass around to be viewed by members at each meeting. Write any thank you notes needed from the PSO as requested by the President. RETIREMENT GIFTS: Purchase retirement gifts for any teachers or staff retiring. SYMPATHY GIFTS: Purchase and send out sympathy cards and floral arrangements when needed. |
