Additional INFO - FAQ

What is Fall Festival?
 • It is an annual family oriented activity night that is designed to bring the students of Highland Drive and their families together. It is traditionally held in either September or October. It also acts as the PSO’s largest fundraiser of the year. On average 500+ participants are involved from youth to seniors.
 • In the recent past, the event was held at Fun-n-Stuff. This year, we decided to try a new venue and create our own activity night. This event will allow students and their families to experience new and different activities as a family. The activities will include some traditional sports; however, we will organize special ones that encourage teamwork, creativity, critical thinking and physical activity. There will also be the traditional silent auction, raffles and prize baskets associated with a fundraising event.
 • This year’s event will be held at Pinnacle Sports in Medina, Ohio.

When is Fall Festival?
 • Thursday, October 4th from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM

What is Pinnacle Sports?
 • It is an 118,000 square foot indoor sports facility that has multiple indoor fields for soccer, basketball/volleyball, baseball/softball and banquet facilities. In addition to these areas, they have partner businesses that offer jump roping, martial arts and basketball. We will be using all of these areas and partner venues – Heartbeats, Kim’s College of Martial Arts, The Cleveland Basketball School, and Tumble Athletics. The partners will offer demonstrations and opportunities to participate as well.

Where is Pinnacle Sports located?

 • They are located in Medina on Route 18. If you are familiar with the mall area of Fairlawn, it is the opposite direction on Route 18. The address is 313 Medina Road, Medina, OH 44256.

From I-77 South
, take exit 137B, West Route 18. Turn right onto Route 18. Pass Medina Line Road (traffic light), and facility will be on your right hand side approximately ¼ mile down. The sign comes up fairly quickly, so be aware. Outdoor turf facilities are visible from the road as well.

From Route 94 South
, take a left onto Route 18 and travel approximately 1.8 miles. The facility will be on your left.

To participate, do we need to sign a waiver?

 • Yes. Pinnacle Sports has asked that each person participating sign a waiver or sign for a child to participate. Waiver at top of page. Waivers will also be available at the door to sign.

What should my family expect to do?

 • Part of the decision to relocate the event was to insure greater interaction of parents and children in the activities offered, as well as brothers and sisters who may be younger or older. The events are designed to include both parents and children working together and having fun. There will be family vs. family challenges, mind benders, relays, sports, creative events, “Bee” arts & crafts, and more.

Some of the specific activities include
 • Traditional indoor soccer
 • Minute-to-win-it-type games
 • Independence Business Supply Air Challenge
 • Lightweight baseball

Does it cost anything?

Yes. There is an admission cost for all attending. If admission bands are purchased prior to the event:

 • Students are $15/each

 • Adults (18 years & older) are $10/each
 • Children four (4) years and younger are free>

 • If admission bands are purchased at the door, the cost is $5 more for students and adults. Children four (4) years and younger are still free. If paid orders are received prior to Friday, September 21st, 10 FREE prize/basket raffle tickets will be earned.
 • This event is closed to the public, so if you have family or friends who wish to attend, you will either need to pre-order their admission bands or meet them at the door.
 • In addition to this, additional costs are found if a family wishes to purchase prize basket raffle tickets, item raffle tickets and/or Courtyard Café Frisbee Toss Chances. All raffle tickets can be purchased prior to the event and/or the night of the event (cost will be the same). Frisbee toss chances will ONLY be sold the evening of the event.

How do I pre-purchase admission bands, raffle tickets and/or meal packages tickets?

 • New this fall is the on-line order and payment option and online order forms - info above
 • Completer your order online or print and complete the orderthis form and return it to school via your child with a check made payable to Highland Drive PSO. Please place all items in an envelope marked “Fall Festival Tickets.”

When should we expect to receive pre-purchased admission bands, raffle tickets and/or meal package tickets?

 • Admission bands and raffle tickets will be sent home the week of October 1st via kid mail.

Tip: Save the address labels you get in the mail. These are great to use on the back of raffle tickets. It saves time writing your name and phone number on each ticket, and your name is very clear to read for the announcer.

Can I purchase food at Pinnacle?

 • Food is available to purchase at the concession stand. Pre-ordered meal packages can be order until Friday, September 21st. After this date, pre-ordered meals are NOT able to be accepted due to ordering needs of the facility. Outside food is NOT permissible to be brought into the facility.

Pre-ordered meal packages include:

 • $12.00 - 12” Cheese Pizza
 • $12.00 - 12” Cheese & Pepperoni Pizza
 • $18.00 - 12” Cheese Pizza, 4x 20 oz. drinks (soft drink, water or Gatorade)
